Your Challenge
The Stationary Engineer at the thermal power plant uses and maintains various types of stationary and auxiliary machinery to heat and power the production buildings and units:
- Use automated control systems, stationary or auxiliary machinery such as furnaces, generators, pumps, compressors, pollution control devices and other machines to heat, ventilate and power production buildings and units
- Maintain heating and ventilation equipment
- Take part in planning and coordinating equipment downtime
- When a breakdown occurs, investigate the cause and implement preventative measures
- Take thermographic and ultrasound readings on the mill’s steam and compressed air network
Any and all related tasks
Your Qualifications
- Vocational school diploma in stationary engineering
- Experience in a thermal power plant and in a class 2 or above plant
- Having successfully completed exams for stationary engineer fourth, third, second or first class, approved by the ministry of Labour, with a certificate
- Experience in maintenance of heating and ventilating systems considered an asset
- Knowledge of industrial design and instrumentation diagrams considered an asset
- Excellent understanding of laws, regulations and norms relating to health and safety in the workplace
- Able to work in a team
- Autonomous, resourceful
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite

- The selected candidate will be required to work on rotating shifts
- Salary based on class of stationary engineer $33.25/h to $38.47/h
