Your Challenge
As Production Supervisor, you will be reporting to the Production Manager. The holder of this position must manage a production team consisting of about 15 employees on rotating shifts of 12 hours, day, evening and night as well as weekends (3-2-2-3). The following is a detailed job description and required profile:
- Planning, organizing, leading and controlling production activities making optimal use of human and material resources
- Actively participate in the implementation of a strong health and safety culture in the workplace
- Plan and coordinate production, and supervise control of operations and product quality
- Provide support to the production teams, ensure that production employees receive the necessary training, and that health and safety standards are met
- Provide support to other supervisors
- Collaborate to the development of equipment and building repair and maintenance lists
- Work on improving efficiency
Your Qualifications
- College or university degree, preferably in industrial engineering, pulp and paper or any other field deemed equivalent; with five years relevant experience supervising a team in a manufacturing company
- Experience in the pulp and paper industry considered an asset
- Dynamic, good judgment, resourceful, able to take initiatives, decision-making skills, meticulous
- Leadership skills with employees to promote a work ethic based on collaboration and results
- Able to establish priorities to bring all projects to fruition
- Fluent in French and English
- Excellent computer skill
Additional Information
- The selected candidate will be required to be on call periodically
