Your Challenge
As a laborer, you will report to the Production Supervisor. The holder of this position must respond to production requests on rotating 8 and 12-hour work day, evening and night shifts as well as weekends. The following is a detailed job description and preferred profile:
- Execute various operations on paper machines, follow production
- Take away paper rolls using poles and pick up paper remnants
- Direct paper rejects to appropriate locations, and report any visual defect of paper
- Inspect paper grades based on client parameters (computerized system)
- Drive a forklift
Your Qualifications
- Completed Secondary 5 and/or Vocational school diploma or ACS in pulp and paper considered an asset
- Experience in manufacturing sector
- Ability to drive a forklift considered an asset
- Ability to lift loads; manual skills
- Good understanding of mechanisms and computers
- Able to work in a team, good learning ability, able to work autonomously and show initiative
